Bears in Bee Suits-The Future of the Music Business
A picture is worth a 1000 words. Remember where the music at Starbuck use to sit. Apparently teddy bears in bee suits bring in more revenue. Not a cd to be found in the place.
I need to go into the bear business:)

Funny – My husband just mentioned the other day that he would love to own a music store like the little independent one we have downtown (think the movie High Fidelity). The first thing I thought was how long till there is no physical market for music left. What could one do to secure a future in such a business? I love CDs, the art, the lyrics, the liner notes telling me who wrote and played what. I wonder if there will always be people like me. Will people still wander into music stores and talk to the clerk about their latest discovery? I am personally not a great example of one of the hardcore music fans, but my heart aches to think what we loose as a society if these places cease to exist. Can anything save them?
and i could make more money selling crack on the street corner…but no thanks…you are in the right business mister
The bear business is really cut throat.
You could advertise “Bear with me!”
x
Yeah, fun
Those toys are for kids and kidults. Just a trick of marketing. And CD’s…
I find the idea of their innovative relationships (with music especially) very smart! you wander in to drink a cup of coffee and stay for hours!
But if you gonna sell bears instead of music… world will turn upside down!
Cabbage Patch, Webkins…all a fad…but your music isn’t just a fad….it’s here to stay forever! Down with bears! Shame on you Starbucks ..LOL.
Did you purchase 2 of those bears for your girls?
I dont think thats entirely true; I picked up the new Coldplay cd when I was getting a coffee they day it was released; the starbucks here they usually have a full rack up front of cds…
