The interesting thing is how we choose to filter. Do we just use the medium that allows us access to such diversity of thought to validate our own world view or to challenge it? The issues of "too much" shouldn't be an excuse. Too many people use the filter to live in an echo chamber of their choosing - and use it to validate that "everyone" thinks the way they do.

"How do you make a firehose managable to the masses?"

give them all a little piece, they only need concern themselves about their own peace, and when focused on their own peace will naturally flow to and with their own people places and things that belong shared in their own piece. They will know what they need to know when they need to know it and by going with the flow will find it, hense letting go. By finding their peace they live in th3e right place, on time and remember their lines and enjoy the ride.
It's knowing you are god, letting go of being god, and just enjoying being a little piece trusting everyone else around you to do do their job.
Accepting power, then relinquishing that power and relaxing in your own uniqueness as both creator and witness.

Seems to me like they can find something better to do with their time. It's just plain weird science to me.

It actually illustrates the filtering conversation they are having perfectly (though likely unintentionally). They are undoubtedly intelligent guys with interesting things to say but I (representing the masses here) couldn't get past the first 10 minutes and get to the interesting content because of all the annoying noise!
